• Hello,

    I need help…

Trying to make a long story short:

We were told to transfer IP addresses from our site’s .htaccess file to our VPS server’s firewall.
    Spammers, however, were coming through.
Technician from hosting company went in and “fixed” the firewall.
Site slowed down to a crawl.
After hours, technicians managed to fix the speed issue (it’s unclear whether there was more firewall tweaking). However, edit-comments.php became inaccessible today after I marked as spam a whole series of comments. (edit-comments.php looked “weird” while I was working on it. It wasn’t accepting certain requests — e.g., “edit” or “reply” — and it didn’t allow multiple checks, so I had to manually check each box before marking comments as spam. Before the firewall disaster, it had been working just fine.)

Any ideas re: what could be the issue?
    That would be much appreciated.
