    Hello, as an introduction… I run http://www.derekhail.com

I am trying to add in images. I want the thumbnailed images to open in a new window, but I want to be able to edit what it opens in. For example… on http://www.wiregirl.com when you click on one of her thumbnails… it shows the enlarged image, but she has google ad on top of the image. I want to be able to add ads to my enlarged image.

With regard to previous entries… I currently have previous entries in my side bar. I want to remove it and make it so the previous entries show at the bottom of “single post” page. This can be seen here. http://www.thesuperficial.com/archives/2006/04/07/katie_holmes_looks_really_auth.html

A response is requested, Thank you

Well, with the new window that the images pop up in – you can use PHP to create a dynamically generated page for each link behind each photo. I’m no PHP pro – so, I can’t help you with the coding of it. It would involve defining what something like “photoID” is, and then upload the pictures with a set ID, and telling the dynamic page to fetch them, as well as all of the other information that you want on there. On my business site – I have to use MYSQL for this, and enter each ID manually everytime I add a new product – not sure if that’s necessary when all that’s needed is a photo, or not. Hope that gives you a starting point in searching though.

The other option would be to manually make an html page for each large photo that includes all of the things that you want.

As far as the previous entries goes – have you tried searching for a plug in?

Yes I have tried searching for a plugin. With regards to manually creating the HTML page… That is way too much work. I wish there were a plugin that automatically did it.

You can try something like Gallery: http://wpg2.ozgreg.com/index.php/Main_Page . It’s customizable enough to do what you want, but will probably take some work.
