Daylight savings time?

    Can I set WordPress to automatically detect US daylight time, or do I need to set my time variable from -5 to -4 whenever daylight time goes into effect? Thanks in advance.

    Shouldn’t your host have updated the time on the servers?

    The time offset is from UTC/GMT, which doesn’t change, so it is necessary to change the offset manually.

    I live in GMT, my host is in PST, so if their servers *did* automagically change things, I’d have problems….

    Hmm. Wonder how hard it would be to write a plugin that automatically and correctly +1/-1 the offset for those living in Daylight Savings Land. Hmm…

    Checkout this plugin. It should do the trick for automatic DST shifting.
