Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress 3.2 theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. Create a child theme for your changes. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

Ok done.
(btw single style.css copied to new directory dont work [wp can’t see it in themes chosing menu], so i copied all theme dir and renamed it).

By ‘done’ i mean i did a child theme;)
What you described above isn’t a child theme. You can download a pre-made Twenty Eleven child theme from here.

Thank You for making me understand child theme at last. I never figured out what it is for real.
I launched the child theme you suggest. But all settings i did on blog are gone. No matter this, i can turn it on according to my vision, but i’m curious why all its gone (i also tried launching this child theme without functions.php [only style.css] but the efect is the same. Moreover i did a copy of functions.php from twenty eleven but some error jumped out with some error in some line). Why, ow why, due to the fact, that this little style.css from child theme import style.css, and no new files are implemented (with default settings).
How about now the hour of the post? 🙂 Did i deserve to gain the knowledge? :} If not – teach me more. I appreciate this.
Regards
Did you try uploading the pre-made child theme?
