• User Access Manager looks like the ideal plugin for my client’s need, however I simply cannot get it to work as expected.

    Here’s what I’ve done
    ———————
Installed the latest version of the User Access Manager plugin: ttp://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-access-manager/

Created a new user group – testGroup – with Read access and Write access set to “only group users”. Role affiliation is “subscriber”

Created a new user – testUser – with Role “subscriber”.
Assigned user testUser to group testGroup

Created a new page with access restricted to the group testGroup

In UAM Settings, added [LOGIN_FORM] to Page content
    Hide complete pages = No
    Hide page title = No

    Here’s the problem
    ———————
On accessing the test page, I see “Sorry you have no rights to view this page!”, as expected.
However on logging in as testUser, I see the same message.

I have also tried with no role affiliation and get the same error.

I can see the page fine when logged in as administrator.

I can access the user profile for testUser, so it’s not an issue with the User.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Same issue here on WordPress 3.3. I’ve set up usergroups and restrictions on a page, but when I login with the user who has the correct privileges I get the same non-access message.
