Assuming the path to WordPress in your browser from both machines was/is //localhost/wordpress
a) Export the WordPress database from the old computer, then import the database on the new computer.
b) Copy everything in the WordPress directory on the old computer, to the WordPress directory on the new computer.
Everything seemed to work, however none of my plugins, or my selected theme were activated. That’s normal, I suppose?
none of my “media” shows up in the library section, either, although they all appear in the in the wp-content/uploads folder
Step (a) should have had a follow up – Change the URLs if the path has changed. Is the path the same as on the old computer?

Agreed. In my head, I thought this a sufficient explanation;
“Assuming the path to WordPress in your browser from both machines was/is //localhost/wordpress”
…but I probably should have elaborated.
On both computers, the path to wordpress is the same.
None of my Pages or Posts are there either.
I think I might be unclear about what you mean about:
“b) Copy everything in the WordPress directory on the old computer, to the WordPress directory on the new computer.”
Once I exported the WordPress folder to my new computer, I dragged to the htdocs folder. Is there another step?
Hi,
DudeGuyBro i am also facing this issue. All media which i uploaded through admin panel is not displaying in front end.
hmm… I’m not quite having that problem. My problem is more that when I transfered the wordpress file from my old computer to my new one, it didn’t keep anything how it was. The media, the pages, the posts … none of it was there. But the plugins and themes I downloaded were in there, just not activated
That sounds like you didn’t bring your DATABASE over.
