Google Analytics in WordPress
-
Can anyone give me instructions for installing Google Analytics on a WordPress page? Not sure if the theme makes a difference here but I’m using F8 Lite. These are the directions Google provides when I sign up for an account:
Copy the following code, then paste it onto every page you want to track immediately before the closing </head> tag.

For any PHP pages, put the following code in a file (for example, analyticstracking.php) and upload it to your site. Then, add the following line to each template page immediately after the opening <body> tag: <?php include_once(“analyticstracking.php”) ?>and they have some additional directions here:

However, I’m a new user and I just have no idea into which files I need to insert this code. In the “Editor” function I see page.php, home.php etc. so I’m guessing it’s one (or more) of those?
