404 on both website and wp-admin

    The error is telling that your entire domain does not exist/is no longer reachable from the web on that server. Contact your hosts support group and ask them what’s up.

    So after contacting them, they said that it is not a problem on their end, and to prove the point, they directed me to type in my URL on anonymouse.org and I could see the site there. Weird!

    I tried clearing my cache, cookies, etc. Still no luck.

    Anybody familiar with such a problem?

    They didn’t think it was peculiar that the only way you could reach your domain was by using a proxy service?

    It seems to be up and running okay right now, but it wasn’t yesterday.

    Yeah, it’s back. Dunno how, but I shouldn’t be complaining then.

    I guess I’ll follow up with the hosting guys again just to be sure.

    Probably a DNS caching issue. If this is a new domain, that can happen.
