i installed this role manager plugin and its awesome.

i create 3 new roles called

    newbies,mods and supermods.

Based on the level of the user say newbie mod or super mod how do i show / hide posts and categories?

Restrict Categories based on User Roles Created in role manager.

I saw the limit categories plugin.

but that is for restricting posting.

i want to do the same for viewing.

How can i get that done ?

I assume this is the plugin on Red Alt. I have had a little trouble getting this plugin to restrict viewing. You can try unchecking the “can view site” (something like that) and see if this works for you. Go here for more on these plugins http://wordpress.org/support/topic/58132.

Have u seen this Limit Categories Plugin from red alt ?

    its super for posting …

You can pick each role created in role manager and delegate the rights.

But what i want is to show/hide categories for viewing instead of posting.

I thnik that additions to this plugin might solve the problem.
