[Plugin: Dropdown Menu Widget] Dropdown Not Displaying Correctly in Safari Browser

The dropdown menu widget works fine using my theme in all the browsers except in Safari. The dropdown menu displays horizontally instead of vertically. Is this a known problem? If so is there a fix for it? Please let me know what needs to be done, so that the dropdown will look the same in all browsers. Is there something I need to add to my theme?
