• I’ve got a WP template
I’ve stuck an extra image in the header – just as a quick hack – just edited the template file, it did what I wanted

But now… I want to allow the same image to be changed through the WordPress admin

I’ve no idea where to start with this

I’ve seen in other templates they allow the changing
But am unsure where to start

    Any help would be great

    Thanks

    Omar

I think you’re talking about the Custom Header feature that you can build into your themes. See this section for the template tags and functions you’ll need: http://codex.wordpress.org/Custom_Headers

    thanks for that link
    really useful
but not quite what i was thinking of though

on this occasion, i used an image in the header
it could be anywhere else – in the footer – on the right or left – or in the middle of a template page

in all cases, i want to be able to control the changing through the wordprss control panel

let me know what u think

    thanks
