• I have installed the technorati plugin and it shows the tags at the bottom of each page. But can someone explain to me the purpose of these links to Technorati?

If someone clicks one on my blog, does that mean that the technorati bot will come and visit me? or, does the plugin put something in my header and when the technorati spider visits it will know which sections to put my articles?

  • Which “technorati plugin”? Where’d it come from? Did it include any documentation?

Idle conjecture and speculation follows since I need and excuse to drink my coffee.

Does it add tags to your posts?
If so, those tags are used by technorati (and other similar services) to help, for lack of a better word, categorize your posts. Make them findable.

Usually, the links around the tags would go to technorati.com and search on that particular tag. Some of the other tagging plugins, like UTW (ultimate tag warrior) will give options so that clicking on a tag actually links to your own site and searches for other posts with that tag.
