I have tried several different plugins for the Facebook like button on my posts, and all of them show up fine in Firefox and Internet Explorer, but none of them are visible in Google Chrome. The source code in Chrome shows the element, but it is not displayed at all. This problem exists while using both the official 2011 theme and a much simpler custom theme that I am currently using. I have searched high and low for solutions to this problem and have found none. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is my site – The FB button is supposed to show up to the left of the G+ and Twitter buttons, which you can see if you use Firefox or IE to view the page.

  • I’m using Google Chrome and it shows for me. Are you using any type of an ad blocker in your browser? Some of those are known to block odd things.

Wow – I’m a dummy. I had a Facebook disconnect extension installed on Chrome that was letting all other like buttons I have seen show up, but not the one on my own site. I removed that and it became visible. Thanks for making me think just a little bit harder 🙂

    Glad to help!

DoNotTrackPlus was the offender. The Like Box won’t show up if it’s installed, even if you disable it for both your WP site and FB page. Guess I’ll have to accept being tracked if I want the box to show up.
