I’m trying to change up my permalinks a bit, working the category or taxonomy name into the URL. While that part is presenting it’s own challenges, I have found a few working ways that gets everything looking beautiful… except the pages. I don’t have many pages on the site (maybe 4 pages compared to nearly 4,000 posts) but when I implement my permalink fixes, the pages always result in a 404 error.

I’ve since learned this is a “regular expression structure issue;” tested by adding a random bit to the slug. As I don’t want to alter the slugs beyond what I’ve already set up, I’ve been told that my next course of action is to hook into the request filter and resolve it manually there.

    unfortunately… i haven’t a clue how that would be done 🙂 Any takers…?
