• I just backed up and restored about 40 WordPress blogs from one server to another. Some of them have their dashboards and wp-admin menu, most are missing them. I’ve tried a couple of things – removing the cache, reupping the files – not much seems to help. i’ve seen this elsewhere after upgrading, have just reupgraded until it works. Would kill me to do this 40x over.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

  • Are they all the same version? If so, which version? If not, are all the ones with missing bits the same version?

Yes, that’s the weird thing. The backup and restore are not only from and to the same version, but so is the mySQL and PHP (v5.0.4 and 4.1.14) The php files are all the same as well, or they were, before I tried replacing them with originals….

    ???
