[Plugin: Quick Cache ( A WP Super Cache Alternative )] File Permissions question

    Hello everybody,
    can anyone comment/explain this problem to me, please?

    I have WP3.2.1 + Quick Cache 110720 and everything works simply GREAT!
    Nevertheless, I had to set file permissions both for “wp-content” and “wp-content/cache” folders for 777. Any “lower” settings (recommended 755 or 775) are NOT sufficient for my provider’s server configuration and the only result is the message that “File not writable… etc.” (in page’s footer).

    Frankly, I am not sure whether it is not a bad idea to leave any file/folder under 777 permissions.

    i, too, noticed, that 755 is not sufficient for my wp-content folder – even though that’s the requirement before activating the plugin. and it only worked with 777.

    You may be running PHP as FastCGI rather than Apache. If so, change the owner/group of /wp-content/cache and /wp-content/cache/advanced-cache.php to your user/group instead of apache/apache. All other file and folder permissions will work accordingly.
