Support » Installing WordPress » Index page brings up install page- help

  • Hello Everyone
I am new to this- please help me
I just activate a plugin called Eventil to create a calender on one of my pages.
As soon as I activate the plugin I am now unable to get to my wordpress dashboard. I get an install wordpress page instead.
I even go too my domain http://www.sarra.co.uk and instead of the index page i get the install page.
How do I get my wp-admin page to access my dashboard?
    How do I de-activate this plug-in?
    From Sarra

  • Hi Sarra,

You will want to rename the plugin folder (Eventil-back would work) in order to disable the plugin. You can do that through either an FTP program or if your web host offers something like cPanel you can use File Manager.

    Hope this helps!

    OK still having trouble
I am back on to my dashboard and have deleted the plugin from my wordpress dashboard.
It has however created an eternity of posts for and event on my posts section. I went to trash post but I can not do this for each post as there are hundreds of the same post.
How to I delete all posts?
    Hope to hear from someone…………..

if you want delete the posts you will need tick the ones you want to delete and then drop down above select the option you want done and click apply.

they will go in trash folder and if want delete permanently do same thing tick them all and select delete permanently and click Apply

On the post page, next to where it says title, there is a box…if you click it it will select all posts on that page (instead of you clicking each one individually)
