How can I detect when somebody logs into the website or returns to the website while logged in?

My client would like to receive an email every time this happens, so the plan is to write a function that detects those parameters and emails the administrator.

    Thanks 🙂

How many logged in users are you thinking of having? Think about the volume of emails you’d be generating. Are you SURE this is a good idea?

What are they trying to track with this?

I have tried to explain this all to my client. His website is a classified system and you require membership inorder to view the price and what not. He wants to track their login inorder to use as a lead and perhaps contact them.

Maybe I can build something in the backend that simply displays login activity.
