Redirection plugin problem

Hello

I’m using the latest version of the Redirection plugin. For some reason, this plugin creates incorrect URL redirects, e.g.:

http://www.blogname.com/category/categoryname/article–> 301 –> http://www.blogname.com/categoryname/article

becomes

http://www.blogname.com/www.blogname.com/categoryname/article

Resulting in another 404. How can I fix this?
