Username "not registered"??

Ok. Here’s my situation. I originally started a blog through wordpress.com with a username and password for that. Then, rather than just moving that site to the newer .org self-hosted site, I created a whole new one. When I request a new password, because the one I have isn’t working, it says it is sending an email but I’ve checked both inboxes I have and cannot find anything. When I requested a new password for the .com wordpress I got the email immediately. How can I straighten this out? I really want to get access to my blog, I mean I’m paying for hosting and whatnot and would like to um, actually maybe post something again 😉
