Problem with categories | cannot re arrange pls help

Hi everyone! I seem to be having a problem with my dashboard.

I just created new categories that I wanna display on the menu bar.

I just did the usual process of creating a category, adding it to the navigation menu, etc.

Now when it was time to arrange the categories in order, in apperance, menus, everytime I point the mouse to the category the mouse icon changes to the drag icon. All I have to do then is to drag to category to its parent right? I did this a couple of times on the previous menus.

Now everytime I click the mouse nothing happens. The category is not moving at all. It just highlights the letters

What happened with my wordpress?
