I just upgraded to 2.0.2 and now the only way for the upload feature in WP to work is to set the upload directory to 777 permission. Is there some setting wrong in WP? or something I can do in m FTP program or server's control panel to fix this problem?

the uploads were working previously?
if its asking to 777 the uploads folder or an error which says.. unlable to write to uploads.... then, you can change the folder properties to 777 from your ftp program. right click the folder from your ftp program(use WS_FTP or Cute ftp) and you can see a 3 digit number. change it to 77 and click OK. and its done!
