Associate media to a post.

Hi everyone. This is my first post.

I’m developing a WordPress based site that I’d like members to be able to create a post, and upload a media file (photo or video) for it.

I’d like to format the post myself. ie: media file on the left, post of the right, comments under etc…

The the person edits their own post, they have the option to replace the media file, or edit the actual post.

There would be no links in each post.

I can think of many different ways to accomplish this. But all of them are pretty complex.

What do you guys think the simplest way is to associate a media file with a post, so when the post is diplayed, the media file will be displayed also?
