I'd like a plugin that would enable me to control access to certain posts and pages based on whether I consider the reader family, friend or the public, much like Flickr.com does. Maybe by subdividing the Subscriber Role into Family/Friend/Public?
Does anyone out there have the makings of such a plugin or the inclination to put one together. I'd be more than happy to help test it.
If you'd like to suggest that existing plugins published on the Codex can achieve this please post to this thread: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/62665
Such a plugin is on my todo list. It'll probably involve allowing each user to define XFN style relationships with other users. Posts and pages can then be tagged by the author as being viewable by friends, family, anyone, etc.

No luck unfortunately. :(
Can't believe there isn't more interest in this capability. Aren't there people out there who want to write stuff on their blog and restrict who can read it?
Yeah. They tend to use both Role Manager and Limit Categories together. Which I already suggested in your other thread. :-\
