Screw HTML?

    What am I missing? Why are there problems with the HTML in WP 2.0? What I’m referring to is that it is impossible for me to paste HTML from one older (pre 2.0) blog into another and have the anchor text be correct.

    I would think I should be able to paste HTML from one doc to another without any problems. Also, when I attempt to paste a cloaked affiliate link into a WP link I’m not totally sure that it is doing what I specified because the post window doesn’t show the HTML.

    What’s happening here?

    Hmm.. Are you cut ‘n pasting your HTML markup from a HTML editor to an HTML editor? If you do that it *should* work.

    If you are using the Rich Text Editor ( WYSIWYG ), it’s tricky.
    Don’t copy directly from an HTML document ( web page ) – you will not know what you get.

    Maybe the simplest route would be to select and copy form your blog page ( presentation ) to a plain text editor, and from that to your normal post editor. Links will have to be reestablished.
