One Site Has Dynamic Redirects – the Other Doesn't
-
While reorganizing my company\’s web sites to prepare for the relaunch of one of our sites and the migration to all of our sites onto a different server, I\’ve noticed that any of the pages on clearpointcreditcounselingsolutions.org are accessible globally. That is to say, if the permalink to the page is \”site.org/path/to/a/reallyGreatPage\”, I can get there by visiting \”site.org/reallyGreatPage\”, which is fab, as it makes linking really easy, especially in the midst of reorganizing.
However, this feature does not seem to work on our other sites which use the same templates, htaccess settings, and so on. (clearpointfinancialsolutions.org is an example). I\’d really love to know how the first site is doing this so I can enable it on the other sites as well. I\’ve tried modifying the permalink structures and htaccess settings to no avail. I\’ve also run file comparisons on multiple files within the wp-includes directory to try and spot differences, but nothing.
Thanks!
