• So among many problems I’ve been working through, here is yet another…

I finally figured out how to assign my home page as a static page so that i can have a blogroll on a page other than my home page.
-Though Im still trying to figure out if I have to set it back to my homepage everytime i want to post new things there. (which would stink)

But my problem now is that i set the page that i want so that when i “Create a new post” it is automatically posted under this page and not on the homepage. Excellent. But when I post it, its being created on a link that goes something like this
http://www.domainname.com/2011/09/18/226 Which is obviously a date, but how do i get it directly on the URL where I want it? which would be something like
    http://www.domainname.com/specificpage

When I am in the editing section of the post it will only let me change like the last 3 numbers on the end of that url. Which does me no good.

PLEASE help if you can, thank you guys so much in advance and I cant wait to become a regular member in the world renowned WP Forums 😛

If it means anything, I am using the BoldNews layout from WooThemes and website is http://www.SuBella.com

  • change your permalinks to /%postname%/

Note that this will cause a major performance issue if you have too many pages (pages not posts) until WordPress 3.3.
