• I recently signed up for Amazon CloudFront and want to update my Total Cache. When I put in the information and run a test, I get this error:

Error: Distribution for origin “www.mywebsite.com” not found.

My website is automatically placed under Origin. But this is not my origin – I can’t change it there. Is there a way to change that??

I am not very good at this CDN stuff, can someone help me out??

  • I’d actually like to know the same thing.. subscribing to be notified for when someone responds to you..

Figured out something you can try.. (I think).. which solved the error I was getting which was different than yours so I thought about not posting this.. but it’s related and it might help so I will anyway..
    In General Settings > CDN
If you choose CDN Type “Original Pull” Amazon Cloudfront, the origin changes to your website under the CDN tab and doesn’t give an option to change.
When you change CDN Type to “Origin Push” Amazon Cloudfront, the settings are different in the CDN tab (lets me add a bucket, etc)

So unless I’m really confused (and I am) – it seems that if you use the pull method, that you can’t change the origin?

That doesn’t answer your error but gives you something else to try since noone has responded to you yet in 6 days..

You might want to delete your distributions in the Amazon Web Services console and make sure that cloudfront origin pull method is selected for CDN on the general settings tab and then on the CDN settings tab create your distribution etc directly from that page and save your settings before enabling CDN on the general CDN tab. Allow some time for the distribution to be created.
