  • Sorry but that theme isn’t released under GPL (you require a link back to your site), so it cannot be promoted here.

    I don’t require any link. I just mentioned that it will be nice if you can keep it. Sorry if it caused any confusion, I’ll edit the info.

    As it is a free download and if it is released under GPL, you must copy the license.txt from the twenty eleven theme and the licence comment lines from style.css

    /*
    License: GNU General Public License
    License URI: license.txt
    */

    Then you can post a link for feedback here without it getting deleted, it is to keep the opensource ethos, which allows others to use the code from your theme in theirs.

    I had a look at the demo nice and clean looking, however it does not resize dynamically like twenty eleven, and did not display any content on my HTC android screen.

    @david, Thanks a lot for your kind reply. Sorry for the missing GPL license file. I have updated the package and CSS file.
    I tested the theme with major web browsers (FF, IE, Chrome, Opera, Safari), but I couldn’t check with the mobile device.
    As it’s my first theme, lots of things to learn.

    Hi Gazpo,
    I loaded the theme, this is not meant to be ‘mean critiqe’ as it is a learning curve, I have the following observations and hope you do not mind.

    Standard things I would expect, Custom Menu support, Custom Background support and a One Column page template.

    If you use the theme check plugin there are some deprecated function calls, some recommended code changes to bring things up to date.

    It does looks like you have based the code on an older theme, as you have get_setting calls instead of get_option, the options page should also be in serailized arrays.

    Since twenty the loop has been moved to a second file and template parts are used to return the code, you will see this comment in the theme check.

    Have a look at the requirements and test data for the WordPress extend themes, these are very very good resources.

    I added a theme created from ‘twenty ten’ here last November and learnt a lot from that process, it took five attempts to get it passed so I have been through the pain.
