[Plugin: Facebook Page Publish] Limit Number of Words in Post Excerpt

    Love this plugin. It does everything I need it to do with one small exception. It seems to use the WordPress default of 55 words for the Post Excerpt even if I manually insert a much shorter excerpt in the Excerpt Box in the WordPress editor. I would like to limit the number of words used in the excerpt posted to Facebook to maybe 25 words as an example.

    If there a way to override the number of words or force the plugin to use the manual excerpt?

    i have a proplem
    when the plug puplish (the link come on somthing not normal) and you can see on this link

    Hi WebiFied,

    I just posted an article with an excerpt and it was published on FB as intended.

    The text that is posted on Facebook is taken from the post excerpt if available, otherwise it is taken from the normal post content. The maximum length is 340 characters (modify fpp_index.php -> FPP_FACEBOOK_LINK_DESCRIPTION_MAX_LENGTH if you want to change this).

    So if your post has an excerpt (that is not empty), only this excerpt is shown on Facebook (even if it contains only one character) (or did I miss something?).

    Just test the post excerpt. It’s not working for me. Go to my fan page at: http://www.facebook.com/wildcatworld and look for the post entitled “Brandon Knight to hold skills clinic in Lexington.” The post excerpt read “Brandon Knight’s Skills Clinic will be at Lexington Christian Academy, 450 West Reynolds Road, Lexington, Kentucky on Saturday, October 8th (10am-4 pm) and Sunday, October 9th (1 pm-6 pm). Click link for more info…” Instead of that I got the 55-word excerpt instead. Any suggestions.

    I will try the fpp_index.php mod. That may be my best option.

    The fpp_index.php mod does exactly what I need it too. You can consider this issue resolved in my case.
