    Hi everyone,

I’m building a site – http://jobs-top.com using twenty eleven 3.2.1, no theme, and static pages. A few of my pages have been picked up by google, but the headings look dreadful.

The two things that are going wrong are the title of the site is somehow being listed twice on google’s page title line, one example is Airline Pilot – Jobs-TopJobs-Top when it should look like Airline Pilot – Jobs-Top The other is no spacing between site title and page title, an example is Aerospace Engineering TechnicianJobs-Top when it should look like Aerospace Engineering Technician – Jobs-Top

Almost all of the pages google have picked up have one of these two problems. I’m using a few plugins – WordPress SEO by Yoast, Google Analytics for WordPress, Google XML Sitemaps and Page Columnist. Could any of these be causing the problems?

Is there some html I could just write into each page which would override anything google’s bots automatically pick up? Someone help, please. This is my first ever site and I’m not very technically minded, so if you could keep the solution simple please J

    Thanks in advance
    Brian.

  • I would suggest it is a problem with your seo plugin. try uninstalling it fully, check you have the latest version, and reinstalling it again.

Please note that it can take weeks, even months, for Google to reindex your site so it is a very hard thing to troubleshoot.
