Alright, I’ve been searching for a few hours with little luck. All I want to do is display my products in the common way. Up on my main navigation I want a link called Products. When you hover over it, it’s a drop down menu displaying every product category. When you click on a category it brings you to a page listing every product in that category. If you click directly on Products it shows a page listing every category.

What steps do I need to take to make this happen?

  • That’s a theme issue – not a eShop one.

Nah. I need to know how to set up my products so that I’m able to do this. Should they be posts or pages, and how do I put those products into categories. Then what eShop shortcode do I need to use to output the HTML of all categories, or all products in a specific category so I can get my menu built.

Or does eShop not give you any way of listing your products?

You could try reading the plugin’s documentation: http://quirm.net/wiki/eshop/

Thanks, got it figured out using that.

Someone should really make an in-depth tutorial on getting a site set up using eShop, all the video tutorials I found only covered specific parts of it.
