• Hello,

I (batch)changed a bunch of file permissions, and the /cache/supercache/mydomain.com/… directories have been accidentally marked as 755

WP-Super Cache was not able to delete/update the cached files, but it didn’t say anything about it.

I realize that adding extra checks may affect performance, but on the other hand it might warn users of what’s going on. Anyway, I thought that I’d send some feedback.

    Thanks for the great plug-in

  • Did it warn you when you go to the WP Super Cache panel in wp-admin?

skippybosco – it would have warned him but I think he changed perms on internal directories.

I may add some warning messages about that, it would be useful if they appeared when the admin logged in.

Hi skippybosco. As Donncha says, only a couple of directories are being checked, but yes I got those warning in the internal directories.

When the cache didn’t update, I realized that the internal directories were not writeable, along with whatever pages were already cached
