    I’m pulling out my hair on this one. Here’s my site: http://ilovehorses.net/blog/

    I wrote a 1300-word article in WP, and everything worked fine in post preview. Then I began monetizing it by putting affiliate links in the content. After the 6th affiliate link I created, any other affiliate links in the content cause the post preview to stop working like this: The post preview gives me a regularly formatted WP page (with my theme’s look and feel) *except* all the editorial content disappears. Any content between the two “Share/Save” white bars (Add to Any plugin) is gone.

    I published the article to see if the problem lies only with the post preview, but the published article was also blank between the “Share/Save” white bars. So just publishing the article doesn’t solve the problem either.

    I’ve tried deactivating plugins, I upgraded to the latest version of WP, and I’ve tried shortening the affiliate URLs, none of which worked. If I remove all or some of the affiliate links from the article, then the post preview works again.

    I discovered that my theme, Amazing Grace, has a hyphen in the directory name on the server and that used to cause problems with older versions of WP, but from what I can tell that shouldn’t be an issue anymore. I haven’t come across any bugs like this one associated with Amazing Grace.

    Anyone have any ideas why I’m having this annoying problem? Thanks.

    After digging on Google for days to find others who’ve had this problem, I discovered this WP bug:

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/bug-wordpress-page-goes-blank-if-more-than-20-captions

    Even though I only had 6 or 7 photos with captions in an article, this appears to be the problem I’m having. I made the change onepack (in the forum post above) recommended in wp_config.php:

    @ini_set(‘pcre.backtrack_limit’, 1000000);
    /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    I’ve been trying to break my article since that change and I haven’t succeeded. I think my confounding problem is solved! *crossing fingers*
