How to go live

    We are about ready to go live with a WordPress site and I am wondering if there is anything I need to do before hand?

    In the process of building the site many plugins were installed and many were removed. Now when I look at the database there are tables left over from those removed (not just inactivated) plugins. Do the tables need to be removed?

    This maybe part of a FAQ, but are there recommended PHP settings?

    Are there recommended security settings

    Maybe the best question is there a FAQ somewhere on how to prepare a site to be heavily used?
