• I have recently installed SimpleMap (Ver: 2.2.5) for a client running WordPress 3.1.3.

The problem I’m experiencing is that none of the locations are coming up on search and the map only appears if set to No Auto-load, although the locations have imported successfully.

On search, the following webpage error comes up:

    “User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; HPNTDF; InfoPath.3; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E)

WordPress was installed in its own directory, a sub directory of root called “wordpress”, so the site url is different to the wordpress url – not an expert, but I suspect that SimpleMap can’t find the locations as it’s looking in site url?

Have set up a test site with WordPress installed directly in root & SimpleMap is working perfectly will all locations loading.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • I’m actually having the same issue! I have a thought it might be because of a different version of Jquery between 3.1 and 3.2 of wordpress?

    Hi squiwrl

I’ve tested your theory by updating WordPress to 3.2.1 on one of my test sites and unfortunately it didn’t solve the problem.

I have however now moved my clients WordPress files from a subdirectory into the root directory and this has solved the problem – not the best solution as I would have liked to keep his WordPress files in the subdirectory, but at least his SimpleMap is working now.

Would be great if we could get a solution/workaround for the subdirectory issue.

In the meantime, I suggest you check where your WordPress files are located, in case yours are also in a subdirectory of root, otherwise the other threads in this forum indicated possible JS conflicts with other Plugins.

I must say, once it’s working properly, it’s a great Plugin!

Having the same issue here – can you walk us thru the fix?

    Hi Mshenassa

Where are your wordpress files stored – in root or a subdirectory of root?

Me too with the same problem. And the files are in a subdirectory. Any fix?

    Hi Noraz

If you can, moving your files to the root directory should solve the problem for now.

As long as your “WordPress address (URL)” is the same as your “Site address (URL)” your locations should load.

Also refer to other threads on JS conflicts.
