If it was working fine and you made no changes, your host may have made a change somewhere which accidentally caused this. Try an email their way ?

I did they said they didn’t do anything. I really need this problem fixed cause i upload madd (alot) of images to my blog.

what version of WordPress are you using? i think 2.0 defaults to /path-to-wordpress/wp-content/uploads/ – if so, check the permissions for the directory.

i named my upload folder “upload”… and not “uploads”… this caused the error!

Hey y’all- I’m now having the same problem. When I upload images (using IE), I get a “?” in the image editor. When I go to my file manager, they appear as being uploaded, but not in the same folder as my other uploaded files. My other files are in uploads/03 (03 is March…I have 2 other folders for Jan and Feb in my directory). I’m so confused. I tried renaming my upload folder, like mentioned before…but got the same results. Help!

i check the path on my FTP program and the folder uploads is not generate, i create a folder upload and i try again upload a image and i’cant.

I am in TROUBLE!!! a few days ago I activated the FAlbum plugin, since then I can not upload pics to my post editor.
When I upload a pic it acts like its uploading but at the end I see a frame which is empty (no pic) containing a little red cross in the top left corner and beside it the name of the file.
When I then try to add this empty frame to my editor hoping that the pic might appear it still stays a empty frame.
I have deactivated the plugin but still have the same problem, please please someone help me!!!

For all the people with the same problem.
To uploads the images just confirm the permissions of the folder “uploads” the type of permission must be 777 and you ready for uploads all the images that you want
It’s very easy with a FTP program.

I had this same problem, where it would not upload anything, until I changed the directory permissions to “777”
Has it worked on anything like “755” for anyone out there? “777” seems a little unsafe, allowing anyone to write to that directory.
i’ve done everything i can think of. folder is set to 777. still, cant upload images. driving me nuckin futs!!
yes, this is nucking piss off. I see enough people with the same issue and not resolved. Same problem and I’ve tried every remedy here.
