LAN installation — no formatting except on localhost

Installed WP on a win7 machine on my LAN, under current release of XAMPP, in hopes of being able to do off-net tests of a site I’m developing. Content looks and acts right on that machine. But when accessed from other machines on the LAN, the front page shows just plain HTML, and off-page links fail because they have URLs with /localhost/ in them.

Is this fixable? I understand it might not be a WP problem per se, however the web pages that came with XAMPP work normally from anywhere on the LAN (it is set up to deny requests from the WAN).
