Custom Widgets?

    Hey guys,

    I’m quite fluent with my HTML skills and recently started to learn WordPress. I have a site (http://www.websitedeck.com/) which I already have converted in WordPress – the inner pages at least, but the homepage is still very basic HTML loaded through a .PHP file. Now I would like to start converting this into WordPress as well.

    I have a slight question which I’m unsure about. How do I go about implementing the 5 boxes on the right hand side? Do I need to make a custom function? Is there a plugin out there?

    I would like to be able to change the:
    1) Title
    2) Image for each box
    3) the description of each box right from the admin panel.
