We use timthumb on our site. Due to an exploit found on an older version of timthumb, we updated to the latest version.

As soon as we did that, the Ajax Calendar stopped working (wouldn’t display) on the page we set it in. It also disabled our jquery navigation menus as well as our sliders.

We disabled the Ajax Calendar plugin, and the menus (and sliders) worked just fine.

We can see the Ajax Calendar settings and even the calendar itself in the admin cp…just not on our public page.

While we aren’t 100% certain, it would seem as if the latest version of timthumb and this Ajax Calendar, are incompatible.

Can we get verification of this? And is there a possible fix? I’ve since tested about 10 different calendars after finding out that this calendar breaks our site…and I’m not happy with any of them. I’m convinced the Ajax Calendar is the best out there…we just need help getting it to work again.

Glad you were able to resolve the issue.
The next release of the calendar has that fix built-in, so you shouldn’t have any problems upgrading the AEC in the future.

    Great, thanks.

I’m new to WP and to using plugins. Will my wp admin cp tell me when there’s an update for AEC? Or do I have to check back here every now and again?

It is automatic, it will display an indicator in the administrative menu.

Man, so easy. I’m really diggin’ using WP for website building.

And Ajax Calendar again, is the single best Event Calendar out there. Better than the premium (pay for) calendars I’ve seen.

You should have a “support me” or “donations” system available. I’m sure plenty of people (including myself) would be willing to send a few bux your way for your efforts and outstanding support. IMO, it sets the standard on the way plugins should be developed.

    Thank you for the compliments!

FYI I do have a donate button – it’s located on the plugin homepage, and on plugin the help tab (near the header). Clearly, I need to rethink the location of the button, make it more visible.

The direct link to make a donation is http://eranmiller.com/plugins/donate/

    Thanks again,

“Donate to this plugin”….I see the link now. I did not see it before. Anyway to create a small graphic there to bring one’s focus to it? I’m sure that people who are familiar with WP and plugins know to look there…but for newbies like me…the page itself is a little daunting the first time I see it…so the small link to donate gets over looked.

Donation sent. Not much at this time (I’m a student)…but the more I use it on additional sites, the more I’ll help contribute to the cause. 🙂
