[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Add featured-image to thumbnails

We have a featured image set on most of our posts.
We have the gallery set that when you click a picture, it replaces the featured image.

Is there a way to have the first thumbnail of the gallery always be the post/page’s featured image?
