Support » Fixing WordPress » Trying to keep floating sidebar (vertical menu) below header in FireFox

  • Hello all,

I’m trying to create a vertical floating menu to be used on a long page with anchor links as jump points. ex: click a menu item and it jumps to that part of the page and the menu follows you to stay in view. I’m doing this for a wordpress template I created with artisteer.

My problem is I’ve tried the “vertical menu widget” and the “strx floating sidebar” plugin. I can get it to look ok in Internet Explorer but in FireFox the menu moves up into the header.

I want it to stay in the left sidebar and about 5 px below the search widget and be able to scroll to the rest of the page.

I’m not very good a css as I am learning. Does anyone have any suggestions please? I’ve been trying to fix this for days.
