i cant load template on wordpress

    Hi,
    I am trying to use an artiseer 3 template on my wordpress,
    I have placed it in the required file on ftp. client, in wp-content,themes, login to my admin on website(wordpress), enter appearance, then themes, then click on my template and this error comes up

    Fatal error:Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in \\nas44ent\Domains\a\a-fast.co.uk\user\htdocs\wp-content\themes\afastword\functions.php on line 12

    It looks like the theme you are trying to use requires the Multibyte String extension for PHP. That extension is not installed with PHP by default and is not something you will be able to install if you use a shared host. If you use a VPS or dedicated host running Linux you should be able to install it with your distro’s package manager.

    For now you can remove the theme and WordPress will revert to the default so your site will at least load.

    have contacted host provider to upgrade to Linux
