Sorting posts by an arbitrary order

    Is it possible to give posts a new field, so that I can decide in an arbitrary order I want posts to show up?

    For ex: Create custom field called OrderKey, if a post has OrderKey=1, then it will shown higher than OrderKey=2.

    Would it work for you to use a Custom Field? You can set the orderby argument of a query to sort on a Custom Field value.
