    Hi,

I’m using this plugin in the sidebar here: http://www.uschillel.org/uschillel

In the drop pull down menu where the user can select which list they want to subscribe to (labeled “Which group do you best fit into:”) even though there is plenty of width, several of the longer list names get truncated. (note the last 6 in the pull down menu).

ie: last name in the list shows “Undergrads – Grads: Class …” and should say “Undergrads – Grads: Class of 2015”

Any way to fix this? If with CSS what file would I tweak and what would the code be?

    Thanks in advance.

    Rick

Sorry this got posted twice…didn’t show up for a while here [ http://wordpress.org/tags/constant-contact-api ] and thought there was an error of some kind.

One more update…had to move on from this plugin because of the issue described above so the widget is no longer in the sidebar at the above link.

In case someone does get to looking at this, I’d look into using this again, you can find a discrete page with the widget embeded in it here: http://www.uschillel.org/uschillel/constant-contact-api-widget-test-page/

(using a plugin which allows widgets to appear in specified pages since I didn’t want the widget appearing in the sidebar on every page anymore.)

Note the lists are still truncated in the drop-down menu…though in this case the drop down menus are actually visually as narrow as the text they are truncating…whereas when this widget appeared in the sidebar, the drop down menus were as wide as the sidebar, though the text still truncated.

If there’s any simple way to allow the drop down menus to widen to show the entire name of the lists one can subscribe to, I’d use this widget instead of my other solution.

    Thanks,

    Rick

On line 168 and 170 of widget-legacy.php, change $v['ShortName'] to $v['Name']. I’ll include a filter for that in the future.

That did the trick Zack…thanks so much!

Glad to hear it, thanks for filing the issue.
