How to create a "FML-style" site

I’m an experienced web dev and want to create a site that functions like http://www.fmylife.com/

A place where people can just submit a quick few sentences and that’s it. Can WP handle it? Is there a plugin/theme to get me started? Feel free to point me in the right direction.
