Can Not Replace Graphics – Very Frustrating!!

I am using one of the stock themes that came with the script. I made a test graphic for the header and kept the same name as what was is in the original script. I then FTP the graphic to the proper directory but it still shows the original graphic. I have tied multiple web browsers and still shows that no change. Any help in this would be great.
