• Just renewed my account with GoDaddy for another year and ever since i did that, my RSS Feed is dead. Website is: http://www.rockandrollwritein.com/feed

Error message in IE is: This feed no longer exists

Error message in Google Chrome is: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it.

The site appears to be working normally besides this, but I’d like to fix it. Any ideas?

    Thanks!
    Mike

  • Feed looks fine to me in every browser. A “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it.” along with the actual XML of your feed is just how Chrome shows feeds; It doesn’t have an RSS viewer built in. I don’t know why IE would show that, but it worked for me with IE 9.

    Thanks Bagel…

But are you certain? What is the latest post you see when you go to the link? When I go there in IE, it DOES show the old posts. But it only shows posts up til July 30th. There have been two posts since and they are not shown in the feed.

Also, when I try to find the feed using http://www.feedburner.com, I get this error…

Received HTTP error: “Not Found” while fetching source feed.

    Any help is appreciated!

The latest feed in IE9 is August 4.

Yup, the latest is August 4th in all browsers. The W3C feed validator also returns a 404 but then goes on to display your entire feed…which is weird.

I don’t even know if this is a problem with WordPress. The only thing I can suggest is going through the standard WordPress troubleshooting list (disable all plugins, change to default theme, make sure your using the latest version) and if none of that works, try talking with your host. Maybe someone who’s had a similar problem will stop by.
