• I plan to set up a blog where content I receive via email gets published to the blog. I am aware of WordPress’ post-by-email feature but am wondering if there is any way to handle attachments on the email.

E.g. ideally I would like say a pdf or MS word document just to be uploaded to wordpress and a link to the file embedded in the blog post.

Is there a plugin that achieves this? I did a quick search and found plugins that can embed images (not what I want) but none mentioned they can upload pdf/word files from email to blog.

Also, is there a way to automatically make the post private when posted?

  • I’m interested in finding a solution to this problem as well.
We have a church website & want to be able to let a couple of staff upload the Weekly Pew Sheet & Monthly Magazine as pdf’s to the site.
It’s okay on our site if the pdf’s remain publically accessible.
