  • Hi, I use, Greg’s High Performance SEO. It seems to work fine. Also go to
    https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=sitemaps&passive=true&nui=1&continue=https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/&followup=https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/&hl=en.
    Or just go to googles webmaster tools and start an account. You will need to paste the code they give you into the header section of WordPress.
    Bing will also do the same.
    Although not everyone can be on page 1. So, think of all the keywords you can and also use them on the page so they are relevant.

    Do a search for ainacare on google (one of my sites) it means Land Care.
    Target your specific product and area of business. If you are selling online the same thing 100,000 other people are. then good luck.

    Will this help me? in adding description to my google search?

    Yeah, the description and the keyword tags will help. Also be relevant on the pages. You can also go to http://www.statcounter.com and paste their code in the footer. They will tell you the keywords people use to find your site and other info. As will the webmaster tools at google and bing.

    I would also still use Gregs SEo

    <meta name=”language” content=”en-US” />
    <meta http-equiv=”Content-Type” content=”text/html; charset=utf-8″ />
    <meta name=”description” content=” blah blah blah blah. the site verifications below are for example only. Sign up for your own..”>
    <meta name=”keywords” content=” coma separate, your, keywords, “>
    <meta name=”google-site-verification” content=”XLT2J8TaMOHIqa7L5NHHchKWklUtr93JvaPGbHglTBA” />
    <meta name=”msvalidate.01″ content=”5C05A610F1E2C09AA0D9F8078DC3DDBC” />

    do i need to insert the code after this line?

    <meta charset=”<?php bloginfo( ‘charset’ ); ?>” />

    Just has to be in the head.

    THanks! one last question,

    <meta name=”google-site-verification” content=”XLT2J8TaMOHIqa7L5NHHchKWklUtr93JvaPGbHglTBA” />
    <meta name=”msvalidate.01″ content=”5C05A610F1E2C09AA0D9F8078DC3DDBC” />

    do i need to change anything here? cause it doesn’t make sense to me.

    Those are my credentials from my google and bing webmaster tools. You need to sign up for your own. It’s free and you can submit your site anytime. such as when you change things/update. search engines will keep a cached pages and serve it up to you. Also use stat counter. It’s cool been using it for years.

    i’m at the webmaster tool here for google and how can i get the codes for my site? so sorry that i’m such a noob.

    Sign up for an account

    I’ve already sign up and insert my website. but there isn’t anywhere that I can get the code.

    It will ask you to validate that you are the owner and give you two options. an xml file or a meta tag. do it with the tag then copy paste into the header

    YAY! done! so i have to wait for 24 hours for this? before it appears?

    go and do the same on bing. Yahoo just seems to follow bing, so you’ll get all three of the main engines. Then go to http://www.statcounter.com and you find it to be a useful tools also. And as I said before I would still use Greg’s high performance seo. What the hell do it all.
